Case Study:

New York Proton Center

Custom WordPress Web Development

Helping to launch the New York Proton Center.

The New York Proton Center is the region's foremost destination for proton therapy. With a pressing deadline, I jumped in to help the agency behind the brand new website to complete the development and get it live.

Project Details

White Rhino (an agency based out of Boston) was contracted to design and build the new website experience for the New York Proton Center, a brand new $300M facility that's bringing first of it's kind cancer treatment to the region. As a deadline loomed closer, they reached out looking for a helping hand to take on a few remaining development items on their otherwise beautiful design.

I worked closely with the team to implement features ranging from custom page blocks to global search functionality, all the way down to responsive CSS improvements and performance tuning. We iterated again and again, committing along the way to a staging GIT repository - allowing for nightly build previews for the client and version control to track changes as we went.

The website was given the final green light by the client and launched early 2019. Since then, I've worked to make improvements both to this website, and to launch new interactive experiences for the NYPC - including a virtual walkthrough of the patient experience, using panoramic imagery of the facility that the user can browse at their convenience and interact with to learn more.
